THE BEST SNICKERS APPLE SALAD

Sharing is caring!

The first time I saw this Snickers Apple Salad at a party I was intrigued… apples AND candy bars in a sweet cream cheese sauce?! Oh, and we get to call it a SALAD?! I was hooked on the first bite. The crisp tart green apples are bright and fresh, the sauce tastes like cheesecake, and that combination WITH snickers candy bars is simply delightful.

Let’s make some Snickers Apple Salad!

We’ll start with the apples first. You can dice them up however you like. We used an apple cutter this time, then sliced them in half one more time and diced them. I like to put the apples in a bowl with cold water and a little lemon juice to prevent browning, but this step is totally optional.

CREAM CHEESE SAUCE:

Add cold heavy whipping cream to the bowl of a mixer and whip with half, 1/4 cup, of the powdered sugar until you have whipped cream. Move the whipped cream into a bowl and set aside.

Add the softened cream cheese and the remaining 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and whip until smooth. You don’t even have to clean the mixer first, just throw it in the same bowl you whipped the cream in.

Now add half of the whipped cream back into the mixer and blend together.

Fold in the remaining whipped cream, then add the drained apples. Make sure they have had time to drain and are no longer wet.

TIME FOR THE SNICKERS!

You can chop up the candy bars however you’d like, we put ours in the freezer for a few minutes first which made them easier to cut. Chop them up and add them in with the apples.

Fold in the Snickers and drizzle the top with caramel sauce! I like to save a little of the chopped candy bar to put on top for presentation. Cover and refrigerate your Snickers Apple Salad until ready to serve. It is best served right away but will keep in the fridge for a couple of days.
