This Hot Bacon Olive Cheddar Dip recipe was shared with me by my daughter’s cute friend, Samantha. It is her Grandma’s recipe and Samantha loves to make it for the Super Bowl. It has just 5 ingredients and is so quick to throw together. Then it just bakes until hot and bubbly. So yummy!
Jump to RecipeHere are the 5 yummy ingredients needed to make this dip:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 green onions, finely sliced
- 5-6 green olives, chopped
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped or crumbled
First, you will want to get the bacon going. I used my kitchen shears to cut the bacon into small pieces right into the pan and cooked it until crispy.
Next, you will chop your green olives and green onions. I used whole olives and had to pit them first. I’m sure this would also be delicious with pimento-stuffed green olives as well.
So cheesy!
Now you will mix the softened cream cheese and shredded sharp cheddar cheese together until smooth, then top with the green onions and green olives and mix in.
Mix in the bacon and spread the dip into a small baking pan. Samantha’s Grandma always doubles the recipe and we will next time for sure! We used our small enameled Cast Iron Pan from Pampered Chef.
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes until golden.
Time to dig in!
