Grandma Mildred’s FAMILY FAVORITE KIWI JELLY

Sharing is caring!

Grandma Mildred’s Family Favorite Kiwi Jelly is so easy to make and our whole family LOVES it! It is sweet, slightly tart, and has a bright and fresh flavor. It is another recipe from my Grandma Mildred, whom I love and admire so much. I enjoyed chatting on the phone with her this week about jam, and family, and life. She is 99 years old and I’m so lucky to have her in my life.

6 Ingredients you’ll need to make Grandma Mildred’s Family Favorite Kiwi Jelly:

  • 4-5 kiwifruit, peeled, thinly sliced, and chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 1 pouch liquid pectin, 3 oz.
  • 3 drops green food coloring

LET’S MAKE IT:

Start by thinly slicing and chopping the kiwi. We used our favorite Pampered Chef Flexible Cutting Mat and Coated Utility Knife. Add the kiwi to a microwave-safe bowl, add the pineapple with juice, lime juice, and sugar, then stir together. We used our Pampered Chef Classic Batter Bowl because it is big enough and microwave safe.

Place in the microwave and cook on high 10-12 minutes until it reaches a full boil, stirring every 2 minutes.

Very carefully remove from the microwave and stir in the liquid pectin and food coloring.

That’s it!

It will be very runny when hot but thickens as it cools. Now pour it into prepared jars or freezer containers.
