Equipment

  • Stand mixer
  • 3 loaf pans

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water warm
  • 1/2 cup milk warm
  • 2 Tbsp yeast
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp butter melted
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 6 cups flour +1/4 cup as needed
  • 6 Tbsp butter softened and separated
  • 6 Tbsp cinnamon separated
  • 6 Tbsp brown sugar separated

Instructions

  • Add warm water and milk to the bowl of a stand mixer.
  • Sprinkle on yeast and sugar and allow to sit for a few minutes.
  • Add melted butter and salt and mix slightly.
  • Attach dough hook and add flour.
  • Mix on low for 5 minutes.
*If you don't have a stand mixer, you can also knead by hand for 5 minutes.
  • Cover and allow to rise until double, about 30 minutes.
  • Turn dough out onto a floured surface and add the extra 1/4 flour as needed.
  • Separate into 3 equal sections.
  • Roll each dough section as wide as your loaf pan and about 18 to 24 inches long. The longer and thinner you roll, the more swirls you will get.
  • Spread 2 Tbsp. of the softened butter on each section.
  • Sprinkle each section with 2 Tbsp. of cinnamon and 2 Tbsp. of brown sugar.
  • Roll into a loaf shape and pinch together.
  • Place seam side down into greased loaf pans.
  • Cover and allow to raise for one hour or until doubled in size.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Brush tops with butter if desired. Cool about 15 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
