Jimmy Dean Cream Cheese Sausage Dip: 3 simple ingredients

This Cream Cheese Sausage Dip has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. With just 3 ingredients and very little work, you’ll be devouring this dip in no time! It is the perfect game-day appetizer.

Here’s the THREE ingredients you’ll need to make Cream Cheese Sausage Dip:

  • 1 lb. Ground Sausage, Jimmy Dean is our favorite
  • 1 can Rotel, we use Mild
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese

It doesn’t get much easier than this recipe!

VARIATIONS:

If you like things SPICY, you can use HOT sausage rather than the Regular. My sister-in-law said they recently used Maple because it was all they had on hand and it was good too…a little sweet and spicy. I think we’ll try that next time.

HOT or Regular Rotel will also help to kick up the heat. A lot of people think the Original Rotel is too spicy which is why we usually use Mild. Another thing we have tried is the Mexican Style Rotel with lime and cilantro and it was so good! If you want to stretch this recipe to feed more people, adding a second 8 oz. cream cheese works great. You can also add Velveeta!

LET’S MAKE IT:

Brown the sausage over medium-high heat until cooked through. We LOVE to use our Pampered Chef Mix ‘N Chop any time we cook ground meat. It is seriously the best!

Next, just add the Rotel and the cream cheese and stir until incorporated and the cream cheese is melted. You can cut the cream cheese into cubes to help it melt more quickly. I just use the Mix ‘N Chop to chop it up as it melts.

EAT UP:

We have a mini crockpot that we like to put our cream cheese sausage dip in to keep warm for parties. Or we simply put it in a bowl and enjoy! Scoops are a great chip option.
