Pressure Cooker Garlic Honey Butter Pork Loin

Sharing is caring!

This Pressure Cooker Garlic Honey Butter Pork Loin gets two thumbs up from my entire family. The sticky sauce is where it’s at! It is sweet, tangy, garlicky deliciousness! I will show you step by step how we make it.

Here’s what you need to make Pressure Cooker Garlic Honey Butter Pork Loin:

  • 3-4 pound pork loin, NOT tenderloin
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3/4 cup water

RUB INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

This is my favorite measuring spoon from Pampered Chef! It comes in a set, Adjustable Measuring Spoons Set, they are so handy and I love that I can use one spoon for many different measurements.

GARLIC HONEY BUTTER SAUCE:

  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1 stick butter, half cup
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

To make the Garlic Honey Butter Sauce:

Melt the butter and add all other ingredients and whisk together.

We bought this pork loin at Costco when they were $4.00 off a package. Screaming deal! It was nearly 8 pounds so we cut it in half and froze the other half for another time. Sometimes the label will say boneless pork loin, sometimes it is labeled pork loin roast. Just make sure you do NOT use pork TENDERloin. Tenderloin is much smaller. Both are lean cuts of meat but if you tried to use tenderloin for this recipe it would be WAY overcooked.

Pat the meat dry with a paper towel and add the spice rub. Make sure to cover all sides of the pork and rub it in well.

THE QUICK COOKER:

We love our Quick Cooker pressure cooker from Pampered Chef. We love that the steam releases with the press of a button so the steam isn’t near your hand when it releases. The carry handles on the bottom make it easy to move and it has so many functions at the turn of a knob.

BROWNING:

Press the saute or sear function on your pressure cooker, they do the same thing, just different brands of pressure cookers. When it is hot add the 2 tablespoons of oil and place the seasoned pork loin inside. You want to brown each side, just a minute or so each. Large Chef’s Tongs help make turning the meat easier.

DEGLAZE THE POT:

Once you have browned each side, remove the pork loin to a plate. Now you will add 3/4 cup water and deglaze the pot. Make sure to scrape all the brown bits from the bottom of the pot to avoid food burning while under pressure.

Add the pork loin back to the pot with the water and drippings and pour the garlic honey butter sauce over the top. Do NOT stir.

UNDER PRESSURE:

Make sure the silicone seal is properly in place, close the lid, and make sure the valve on top of the pressure cooker is closed. Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes and let naturally release pressure for an additional 15 minutes. Release any remaining pressure and remove the lid. It should smell AMAZING right about now. Make sure the internal temperature is at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Carefully remove the pork loin to a platter and cover with foil to rest.

THE AMAZING GARLIC HONEY BUTTER SAUCE:

Make a corn starch slurry by combining 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with 6 tablespoons cold water and mix until there are no lumps. Press the saute/sear button again and allow the sauce to come to a boil. Whisk in the slurry and stir until thickened. Press cancel on the pot.

Pour some of the sauce over the pork loin and reserve the rest to serve with the meat. This sauce is seriously addictive!

Slice and serve warm. We like ours with a side of cooked veggies and a green salad.

We hope you make this Pressure Cooker Garlic Honey Butter Pork Loin soon! Your family will thank you and will be begging for more. 🙂

We hope you give this recipe a try and love it as much as we do! Remember to follow our adventures on Facebook and Instagram and subscribe to be notified of new posts.

Hi, Lori. I think the time in the recipe should work great for 4.5 pounds. I hope it works out for you!

I, like you, bought a whole loin at Costco, but mine was $8 off the price, making it an incredible deal. I look for a small one, thereby making my final price per pound a better deal.

Once I got home I starting looking for an easy recipe for Christmas dinner using our pressure cooker. I landed on this one and cried, “Eureka! This is it!” Well, maybe I didn’t cry it out loud, but inside I was all a flutter. This sounded perfect.

This Christmas is the first time in 41 years that my wife and I are all alone for Christmas. I wanted to make a meal that would be equal to some of the great meals we have enjoyed for Christmas as a family through the years, and this recipe fit the bill. The only change I might make in the future would be to use a little less cayenne. 1 tsp was more than generous.

Thank you for making our quiet holiday meal a memorable one!

Fred, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm glad that your dinner turned out yummy and that you and your wife had a nice Christmas together. ❤ My parents also thought the cayenne was a little much for their liking. I will go and make a note on the recipe. Thanks again for your feedback and Merry Christmas! -Mandy

Hi! We usually serve it with cooked potatoes and carrots, also made in the Instant Pot. It is also great with rice. Hope that helps!

Hi! Sorry for the slow response. You can absolutely make this in the crockpot. Pat the meat dry, add the rub and sear on the stovetop. Move the meat to the crockpot and pour the sauce over it. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or high for 3 hours. Internal temperature should reach 145 degrees. Make the slurry and add to the remaining sauce in a pan and cook to thicken. I hope that helps!

Do you think you could use the pork roasts from Costco that come individually sealed, 4 to a pack?
