DOUBLE FRENCH BRAID heart hairdo

Sharing is caring!

This double french braid heart hairdo is a fairly simple and is perfect for Valentine’s Day, yet subtle enough for every day wear.

HOW WE DID IT:

To create the double french braid heart hairdo start by parting the hair in a heart shape like so. Emma’s hair naturally parts on one side so we started on her natural part and curved it. We had it come down toward her ear. Using the back of a rat tail comb is the easiest for us. Just use it to draw the shape of a heart. Use a big elastic to pull the rest of the hair out of the way. Then I drew a line down the middle of the heart to create two sides and used a small elastic to pull half out of the way.

This hairdo would be cute with dutch braids but we decided to do simple french braids today. Start at the top and braid down slightly angling into the point of the heart.

Lookin’ good. Now just do the same thing on the other side.

Next just undo the first elastic and secure the two braids together with a small elastic.

We added a small bow to the bottom of the hair and some loose curls to the end of her hair with the flat iron.

From the front you can’t really see that it is a heart but it still looks cute.

This girls hair is getting so long and we just had it cut last month!

We hope you will give this simple double french braid heart hairdo a try. Let us know if you do!
